The homemade Tomato sauce recipe is one of the sauces included in the basic sauce or mother sauce besides veloute, bechamel, demiglace or butter sauce.

- For 200 ml of tomato sauce.
- 250 grams of fresh ripe tomatoes. Diblanching, skin, and seeds are removed, then chopped roughly.
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste.
- 1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped.
- 2 tablespoons olive oil.
- 5 fresh basil leaves.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
How to make Homemade Tomato sauce recipe:
- Heat olive oil or olive oil, then saute garlic until fragrant.
- Add tomato paste, stir briefly then add the tomatoes that were prepared earlier. Let it boil then simmer over low heat until the tomatoes are cooked / the texture is soft.
- Then add fresh basil leaves. Cook for a while, then season with salt and pepper.
